On this episode of TheFallenState TV, host Jesse Lee Peterson sits down with Dr. Willie Parker, OB/GYN, abortionist, and author of “Life’s Work: A Moral Argument for Choice.” After growing up in Alabama with a Christian fundamentalist background, Dr. Parker says that listening to a sermon by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. radically changed his view of abortion. All of a sudden, he came to believe it would be moral for him to perform abortions, and that it wouldn’t violate his Christian faith. He then fully embraced being an abortion provider by traveling thousands of miles on a monthly basis to perform abortions at the last legal abortion clinic in Mississippi. Dr. Parker was given Planned Parenthood’s stamp of approval when he received their Margaret Sanger award. He has also been featured in Esquire, NPR, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, and more. Don’t miss a very spirited and lively debate on one of today’s most heated and divisive issues!
